Plant solutions for vaccine production

EnviroFALK PharmaWaterSystems and EnviroDTS implemented water and wastewater treatment plants for Celonic AG, a Swiss Biotech company. Since 2021, Celonic has been involved in the production of a COVID-19 vaccine. At the beginning of 2021, EnviroFALK PharmaWaterSystems was commissioned by Celonic to install a 1,000 l/h system to be used in a newly approved manufacturing process, cold Water For Injection (WFI). The scope of supply also includes a storage tank for the generated WFI and a stainless steel skid with the main components of the WFI distribution. The EnviroDTS team, who already set up a chemical inactivation plant (approx. 10m³/day) with a downstream neutralization system, will also supply a Superduplex stainless steel thermal wastewater inactivation system (750l/h at 121°C for 20 min).
